July FluteDaddy Concert At Hillside Gardens
Two of Colorado’s best kept secrets will be ready for you to enjoy on July 21, 2010. Surrounded by the awesome natural splendor of the Rocky Mountains in the heart of Colorado Springs, the beautifully landscaped Hillside Gardens will host the public launch of FluteDaddy with a concert at 6:30-8:30 PM on Wednesday July 21, 2010.
The FluteDaddy Jazz Quartet, featuring Joseph Liberti playing C and alto flutes, will perform a two hour program of jazz and pop ballads, bop and blues served with a touch of soul and a latin twist. Some fans call the music easy listening, some say it’s blues flute but all say it is great, interesting and entertaining music. This concert will include some tasty jazz arrangements of Beatles favorites.
The gorgeous peaceful setting with ponds and water fountains seems a perfect environment for the sometimes sweet, sometimes sassy and always soulful flute jazz. No worries about the weather either as you enjoy the sounds under cover of the pavilion. The only storm will be provided by the first class rhythm section of Bruce Pennington on keyboard, Marc Niehof on bass and Dick Cunico on drums as they set a great jazz groove and improvise wonderful solos.
In addition to some great music, there will be a special surprise for music lovers. Be sure to be there:
