FluteDaddy is celebrating the end of a very good year with a wine & jazz party at Creekside Cuisine!
A wine and jazz party at Creekside Cuisine December 13 – What a fun way to finish a great year of music-making!
Yes, 12/13 will be our last gig this year because I’m getting a new knee for Christmas! I love the outdoors and I have laughed at the fact that I wear out the soles of my hiking boots in about a year. Finally I wore out a knee. I grabbed the first available date for surgery and it was December 24. While Y’all are waiting for Santa to show up, I’ll be getting my new knee installed. So, FluteDaddy won’t be taking any new gigs until February. I’ll be using the recovery time to write music for some new events in 2016.
I’ve got lots of great memories of 2015. One milestone was writing and performing music for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center‘s Georgia O’Keeffe show. Another was playing a really fun, laid back, 6-week gig at Creekside Cuisine in beautiful downtown Manitou Springs with three fab friends who happen to be great musicians – Alan Joseph, Marc Neihof, Stefan Flores. Something about the creek the sun and maybe the beer, stirred us to play some of our best sounds ever.
On Sunday December 13 we are going for the same groove and for me it will be a celebration of 2015. Creekside Cuisine will host a wine tasting and will serve five courses of appetizer-sized dishes paired with great wine. The special menu includes smoked trout tacos, barbecued ribs, grilled chicken, Caprese salad and more with a desert choice of chocolate cake or cheese cake. Yum!
I’m really looking forward to playing with my pals and seeing my friends. Come and join us if you can. Click here for tickets!
Be well and happy,
