Hello,

I’m Joseph Liberti, known to my friends and fans as FluteDaddy.  At heart, I’m a jazz singer and I think I fell in love with the flute because playing it is an experience that is closest to singing the human voice. I also love the creative expression of jazz improvisation.

I love all kinds of jazz from bop to Bossa Nova to blues, and from freestyle jazz to funk, and all of that shows up in my playing. What I love most are lyrical tunes played with creativity and passion. I play flute in a soulful voice and let the flute sing from my heart.

In performance I play with a rhythm section of jazz masters on piano, guitar, bass and drums and/or percussion. Most of my performances are for special events or in a jazz concert setting.

Recently I have “found” my true voice on the flute, one that reveals more passion and expression in my playing, and I have chosen a new playlist of songs I love, to play for you in 2013.
